Hello people,
I thought a quick post was in order to let people know how our first band night of 2010 went. The night was fully booked, plus a few more, which meant we had in excess of 65 people present. A big thank you to all that attended and we hope you enjoyed yourself as much as we did.
If you’ve been following this blog then you’ll know we had Buddy’s Live Band playing for us who is fronted by Huge Budden an excellent harmonica player. Thank you to the band the performance was great and we had some great feedback about it.
The ticket price was £12 and included the entry fee as well as a plate of food. Guests could choose from a Chargrilled Vegetable Lasagna, Seafood Paella or Chicken Tikka Masala. Bread, Poppadoms or salad accompanied the relevant dishes. Desserts were sold additionally to the ticket price at £3.50 each and comprised of Warm Sticky Toffee Pudding with Butterscotch Sauce and Vanilla Ice Cream or Baked Vanilla Cheesecake with a Soft Berry Compote.
We hope to be holding another band night in the not to distant future, possibly March. If you would like to stay be put on our band email list then send us an email to info@purplecresscatering.com with the subject line “Add me to your band list.” You will then be kept up to date with the latest up and coming band night as well as other events we maybe hosting.
If you attended the band night and wish to leave us some feedback then you can post a comment on this blog post.
(Band Night footage hopefully coming soon.)
Until next time…..
Neal and Adam

Purple Cress will be particpating in Corfe Fest 2009. This is an event held annually in Corfe Castle, Dorset and is in it’s 3rd year. Held from Friday June 12th to Sunday 14th of June.
We are catering on the Friday in the grounds of the Royal British Legion. Any one is welcome to enjoy the BBQ we are putting on and we believe we are going to accompany a band which will perform from early evening.
On the Sunday we will have a stall set up in the Corfe sports field as part of their Crafts and Produce day. We are still confirming our set but will be offering products such as Mini Chocolate Brownies, Shortbread, Savoury Quiches, Strawberries and Cream, Scones and Sparkling Elderflower. All of this is of course homemade.
There will be something for every on to enjoy over the course of the weekend and we will update this blog as and when we know confirmation details.
