March Band Night been and gone

I still can’t beleive how fast this year is going, thats our second band night gone already.  For those of you who couldn’t make it you missed a good night.  The live band Firebird were brilliant and I would urge anyone to go and see them if they get the chance.

our next band night is as of yet undecided for both the band and the date.  Most likely it will be towards the end of April, early May, possibly the Bank Holiday.

Thank you to the people how attended the last band night, we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.

March Band Night and Mothers Day

Ok, I am abit behind with the blog posting I know, it’s been a busy month for us and the days seem to fly by.  Anyway, as I have finally made it here I shall make this post an update to what is happening in and around the area for Purple Cress Catering.

March band Night

On March the 20th which falls on a Saturday (2 weekends away) we are putting on our second band night for 2010.   January was our first and we managed to pack out the restaurant with 65+ people.  This month we are offering pretty much the same setup.
For £12 you buy a ticket and get to see Fireband, this month’s band.  Included in the price is a free meal and although the menu hasn’t been finalised yet it will be very similar to last time.  A choice from three dishes, Seafood Paella, Red Thai Chicken Curry or Char grilled Vegetable Lasagne all with various accompaniments.   The bar will be open as normal for guests to purchase drinks throughout the evening and desserts and coffees will be sold separately. Priced at £3.50 and £1.50 respectively.
To book your tickets you will need to call the Worgret Manor Hotel direct on 01929 552957.  Tickets will then be reserved for you and payment will be taken on the door.

Mothering Sunday

We have our mothers day menu published on the main site (mothers day menu here) and bookings are now being taken.  Last year we were fully booked and we expect this year to do the same.  There is a minimum of 2 courses priced at £14.95 and the menu has something for everyone.  Please use the same booking number as above to make your reservations.

January Band Night response

Hello people,

I thought a quick post was in order to let people know how our first band night of 2010 went.  The night was fully booked, plus a few more, which meant we had in excess of 65 people present.  A big thank you to all that attended and we hope you enjoyed yourself as much as we did.

If you’ve been following this blog then you’ll know we had Buddy’s Live Band playing for us who is fronted by Huge Budden an excellent harmonica player.  Thank you to the band the performance was great and we had some great feedback about it.

The ticket price was £12 and included the entry fee as well as a plate of food.  Guests could choose from a Chargrilled Vegetable Lasagna, Seafood Paella or Chicken Tikka Masala.  Bread, Poppadoms or salad accompanied the relevant dishes.  Desserts were sold additionally to the ticket price at £3.50 each and comprised of Warm Sticky Toffee Pudding with Butterscotch Sauce and Vanilla Ice Cream  or Baked Vanilla Cheesecake with a Soft Berry Compote.

We hope to be holding another band night in the not to distant future, possibly March.  If you would like to stay be put on our band email list then send us an email to info@purplecresscatering.com with the subject line “Add me to your band list.”  You will then be kept up to date with the latest up and coming band night as well as other events we maybe hosting.

If you attended the band night and wish to leave us some feedback then you can post a comment on this blog post.

(Band Night footage hopefully coming soon.)
